
Princeton University recently entered a period of extensive construction to expand and improve our campus. The design of each of our new buildings includes a vision of equitable paths of travel. This means beyond designing buildings where everyone can enter through the front door, the buildings have been designed for people to move together through the building, courtyards, and spaces, regardless of mobility issues. By locating elevators close to stairs, creating pathways with level materials, and providing accessible classroom entrances, someone in a wheelchair doesn't have to separate from friends to navigate their way through the building.
Buildings will also include a combination of quiet rooms, rest areas, private reflective spaces, and/or enhanced lighting controls, all to provide occupants the ability to control their surroundings based on individual needs.
New buildings have been designed to enable equitable paths of travel:

- Hobson College
- Princeton University Art Museum
- Meadows Graduate Housing
- Meadows Racquet and Recreation Center
- Meadows Drive Garage
- TIGER and CUB
