36 University Place Admission Assembly

This project included a renovation of the basement, first floor, and first floor mezzanine of 36 University Place. A portion of the first floor became a shared greeting/lounge area for prospective students and their families visiting campus. Above, the mezzanine became a presentation room to accommodate the general information sessions offered by the Office of Admission. Campus tours now follow presentations from this new location. Portions of the U Store displaced by the proposed Admission program space were relocated in the summer of 2020 utilizing other spaces in the building.

The new spaces are fully accessible, comfortable, welcoming, and represent Princeton’s commitment to diversity. They provide a place where they can relax after a long journey before and after their scheduled sessions and tours, gather information, and pose questions and concerns to admission officers.
