Child Care

Princeton University maintains a strong commitment to helping members of the campus community balance work and life responsibilities and to being a family-friendly employer and institution for graduate study. The objective of the Childcare Center project was to strengthen this commitment by expanding and enhancing the childcare services available to Princeton University faculty, staff, and students.

Princeton University constructed a new childcare facility on Broadmead Street (directly south of the existing childcare facility) for up to 180 children. The building accommodates infants, toddlers and preschool children. The new facility includes extensive indoor and outdoor teaching and play areas. For more information about the project see the FAQ document.

This project meets or exceeds Princeton's sustainability standards. The University is seeking LEED certification, a standard established by the U.S. Green Building Council (link is external), for the buildings.
