Located at the confluence of the Stony Brook and Millstone River, the Lake Carnegie dam constructed in 1907 helped create the body of water still enjoyed by our competitive rowers as well as many others in our community. Maintenance has been performed on the Dam over the last century, and by 2015, the time had come once again to address needed repairs. Our Facilities engineers, along with consultants, began structural repairs in June 2015. The work did not impact the level of the lake, nor did it impact traffic or pedestrian routes. The video below contains repair and construction phasing information shared at a town hall meeting in March, 2015.
