After you secure approval and a scheduled date from Transportation and Parking, Facilities can help remove a bike lock. Please note this service is only available if you have pre-registered your bicycle with the Office of Transportation and Parking Services, and requires proof of ownership prior to the removal of the lock.
Requests
You must complete the Bike Lock Removal Form on the Office of Transportation and Parking Services' website (please note there is no Facilities form to submit for this service). Once the Office of Transportation and Parking Services schedules the date and time, a Facilities employee will meet you at the location of your bike. You must remember to bring your completed bike lock removal form with you and give it to the Facilities staff member. The completed form is for your protection, verifying your bike will go only to you, the rightful owner. We will not remove a bike lock without a validated form.

As a service to university community members who have registered their bicycles, the Department of Facilities will provide assistance in removing bike locks for individuals who have lost their lock keys or combinations. This service is available at no charge. Proof of ownership is required prior to the removal of the lock. Your bike must be registered with the University prior to removal of lock. Please complete the information below. Whenever possible, requests for lock removals are generally processed the following business day. Late day submittals may take up to 48 hours to be processed.Cost
