The Princeton University Storage Facility (PUSF) is an off-campus warehouse used for the temporary storage of administrative department records. Please visit Records Management for information on University records management policies, retention schedules and procedures.

Limitations

Certain records may not be stored at the PUSF:

  • Academic records
  • Medical records
  • Permanent, inactive records
  • Research materials

Requests

To have stored records boxes moved from the Record Center to your office (for review in your location):

  1. Send us a basic work order and request the boxes you need to review
  2. Provide the RSR number and box number for each box you are requesting
  3. Provide the delivery location and the date you need the boxes delivered (please allow two business days for service)

To have stored records boxes pulled from the Record Center for review in the Record Review Room at 755 Alexander Road:

  1. Send us a basic work order and request the boxes you need to review
  2. Provide the RSR number and box number for each box you are requesting
  3. Provide the date and time you would like to visit the Record Center Review Room (please allow two business days for service)

To have stored record boxes returned from your office to the Record Center:

  1. Send us a basic work order and request the boxes you need to return
  2. Provide the RSR number and box number for each box you are returning
  3. Provide the pickup location and date you would like the boxes returned (please allow two business days for service)

Note: Requests for additions to the Record Center, or to have boxes destroyed, are currently under review. As this process is refined, please contact our Service Center, 609-258-8000, to discuss your needs.

Cost

Boxes, moving and storage are provided at no cost to your department. However, moves required outside of normal business hours will result in overtime charges.
